ABOUT
Hi there! My name is Taylor-Jayne Rowe and I would like to tell you a little bit about Lunar Events, a hub for educational workshops and out-of-hours childcare in Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport.
I found my love for education when I became an after-school Drama teacher to support myself through my degree, and I would be more excited to visit my students than to attend my lectures.
I specialise in the Performing Arts. Before pursuing primary education, I trained in drama, music, and dance, and I studied classical piano for seven years. While training, I participated in many local productions on stage, backstage, and in the band!
As an educator, I believe in cross-curricular learning, which links information and ideas across a variety of subjects to improve skills and knowledge of a topic.
At our Activity Camps we mix cross-curricular learning with fun, practical activities to develop a positive understanding of the topic; and we frequently collaborate with local educators who are qualified in a variety of extra-curricular subjects to supplement our unique curriculum!
We strive to provide enriching, outstanding education outside of the classroom and to make learning fun!

Fun Science Studios provides children between the ages of 3 and 10 years old with hands-on scientific experiments that develop critical thinking skills while having fun. They aim to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and express themselves freely.
Lunar Events regularly supports Brockhurst Primary School with events throughout the school year, and provides workshops in the classroom!
