POST-16 CONVERSATION
FEATURES: PERSONAL, SOCIAL, FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC THEMES
SKILLS: CRITICAL THINKING, PLANNING AND PREPARATION
AGE RANGE: KS4, AGES 14-16
This workshop treats GCSE students as sensible young-adults with several big decisions ahead of them. We work to equip young people with the resources they need to begin considering their next steps in education.
During this conversational session, we discuss A-Levels, BTECs/T-Levels and apprenticeships, their positives, negatives and their suitability. We highlight the importance of adaptability in a career plan, the reality of change and the need for flexibility in life. This workshop also carries themes of finance and personal circumstance; how a career path is an entirely individual choice.
This workshop is suited to small group sizes (15 or less) so we can thoroughly discuss each student's options one-on-one. We can deliver the workshop to larger groups, however more time may be needed with the students for them to benefit from our discussion.
CLASS NUMBERS: This workshop is suitable for up to 30 students and can be delivered as several one-hour sessions throughout the day, depending on class size and your preference.
